Q.

I m in my 24 week of first pregnancy. last week I got some brownish discharge once only followed by white watery discharge. Doctor said it might be fungal infection. USG was normal. but she suggested me to take progesterone 300mg for 15 days. She also have me a vaginal wash which I used. and one antifungal medicine. but i didn't use tyat medicine. What is your take on this? is it normal to have increased discharge in last trimester? and should I take that anti fungal medicihe?

A. increased white discharge is common during pregnancy but if it may be related to infection then it is not good so better have proper detail discussion with your doctor and if needful yes you can take the antifungal medication so as to avoid any risk factors during delivery time
