Q.
I'm having a 1 month 12 days old girl baby. she used to poop at least 10 times a day during the first month. From the second month, she started to poop once in two days (After giving gas relief syrup). She puts so much pressure to poop, but she is not able to poop and then she cries so much. May I know the reason and solution for this problem

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy11 months agoA. Stool pattern of small children changes from time to time.
It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also.
The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to solid or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy11 months agoA. hello the breast fed baby will have less waste and can go without passing motion even for a week but if baby is not passing motion even after a week you can then check your doctor and otherwise nothing to worry about
