Q.
I m 16 weeks 1 days pregnant and my Doctor has advi6me for anamoly scan on may 5th which would be 16 weeks 5 days but as fas as I know anamoly scan is done between 18 to 20 weeks of pregnancy. My last Lmp was 8 jan 2021 , plz let me know that my Doctor has given the right date for scan or by mistakenly she wrote. plz suggest

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. It is ideal that you get an anamoly scan one at around 11 weeks and the another one around 20 weeks.Do you have a talk with your doctor to find out why she suggested an early scan Write Your Answer Here

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. see best to ask her again. in special cases we can do an early scan in 16 weeks too ok. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide you
