Q.
I have vaccinated my baby last Wednesday but the vaccinated spot is hard to touch nd it's painful for my baby ,does it cause any infection or septics #Vaccination

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swellifng can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or paiyn.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello keepin an icepack over the area can help and any concern then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and also safe too
