Q.

I have started solids for my 6 months baby like cerelac n apple puree .His poop is black and green in colour and hard stools.id it normal? is black poop normal?

A. Hello Dear, Black poop is normal as far as the baby is not facing any discomfort.If your baby is facing any kind of discomfort, please visit your pediatrician Coming to food, I would suggest avoid giving packaged food unless it's emergency or you are going out and there is no option for you to cook. Start giving homemade purees.You are introduce a variety of food to your baby in puree form.Number of veggies and fruits which will help your baby to gain healthy weight and stay active.It can be of different color.Different smell.

A. If You are giving formula feeding to the child and iron supplement to the child and brown black and green is very very normal and common but if you’re not giving either of the things then also it can be normal because of the food that you are giving otherwise you can get a cheque to have a clarity about it
