Q.
I have started giving my 4 month old daughter iron drops as prescribed by pediatrician. Her poop is green black in color. Is it normal? should it be like this for every poop till I am giving her iron drops?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician2 years agoA. yeah.. your baby is on iron supplements than his/her poop can be dark green in color. which is due to iron drops, you must continue with it.. take care

SakshiMom of 2 children2 years agoA. The colour of poop turns darker due to iron. Don’t worry it is completely normal. It can even turn black in colour.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 5 m old girl2 years agoA. hi yes , it is normal but if there is Mucus,if stool consistency is too much watery or hard like stone,if child is feeling frequent stomach pain etc then please visit your pediatrician
