Q.

I have planned to start solids next month. Which foods can be included during the 6 th month?

A. Dear parent, solids should be introduced after completion of 6 months and non earlier than that. You can begin with mashed foods like porridge, kheer, homemade cerelac, fruit purée. Then dal rice with vegetables, khichadi, curd. Later mashed paneer. Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. Beginning with 3-4 teaspoons, give top food 2 to 3 times a day and up to half katori every time. Continue to breastfeed.
