Q.
i have over leaking breasts which is making it difficult for my 10 days old baby to latch. also my nipples are becoming flat and softer and he is able to keep them in the mouth. what can be done?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk meet lactational counsellor who will guifde regarding this. see videos on you tube for breastfeeding position and attachment. take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetafbles, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself. take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.

You can actually go ahead with using nipple shield that is going to help in regulating the flow of the breast and it would be convenient for a child to take direct breastfeeding from you else you can use a breast pump as well if you want to use itWrite Your Answer Here
