Q.
I have gdm detected in 24 weeks and in 30 weeks pregnant now. I'm taking metformin 500 mg bd. numbers are still the same. around 105-108 fasting and 140 2 hourly pp. going in gvt sector and doctors are saying it is okay. you can stay on metformin . insulin has risk of hypoglycemia. what should I do

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist1 week agoA. If the values are not under control, then you will need to go for insulin also. You can consult an endocrinologist and take an opinion. It is a possibility that hypoglycemia can happen due to insulin.
