Q.

I have delivered baby before 8 months. Can I take covid vaccination for me now.

A. any Covid vaccine like covishield / covaxin / sputnik can be given safely to nursing mothers and pregnant women as per the latest recommendation which is approved by govt of India.children are still not included in this list.trials are still going on but proper confirmation regarding this is not yet done by the govt.it may take he some more time.till then children need to be kept under full safety precautions and given a good balanced diet n supplements for good immunity and other vaccines done timely. Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.it has no adverse effects on the baby.in case of any pain or fever after vaccination,tab dolo can be taken which is safest during this period.

A. Yes Definitely no you are not exclusively breastfeeding the child your child is on other food also is not completely dependent on you so but of course you can go ahead with the vaccination whenever you are comfortable it’s all absolutely not an issue
