Q.

i have been taking trapic M F before my pregnancy to stop heavy bleeding during periods. After the delivery doctor suggested the tablet menotran. Also if thats not available Pause M F. Pause M F is an expensive tablet compared to trapic M F. Is trapic M F same as Pause M F. Or should I be taking only Pause M F or menotran since my baby is exclusively breastfed. Do reply

A. Hello dear Both are the same drugs from different brands. The drug does cross to the baby through breast milk. So don’t use it unless it’s absolutely necessary. If you don’t have heavy bleeding avoid drugs. If it’s inevitable take them

A. Hello mam for the time being I would advise you to go only with the medication that your gynaecologist has suggested you as I’m sure she must have suggested you this medication according to your heavy bleeding again so it’s better to follow whatever she has guided you with. Else you can consult your gynaecologist once and asked the difference between two medicines if it is just the same then you can go for the other medicine instead of the expensive one.
