Q.

I have a baby of 34 days. Milk is leaking from my breasts when I don't feed the baby. I alternatively feed the baby once with formula and once with my milk, so that he can have sufficient feed while drinking at me. I try to pump the milk if I am leaking and baby is sleeping. What is this called and how can I control leaking?

A. It happens whenever the breasts are full. Even if you hear the baby crying the Breasts will start leaking. You can use the breast pads to soak the extra milk and to avoid staining. Looks like you have pretty good milk supply as the leak indicates even that. Why don’t you rely on breastmilk only rather than giving formula alsoWrite Your Answer Here

A. Even I am leaking when I pump it's only around 30 ml or so in the initial days which isn't sufficient for the baby, so I started using formula.... later I started using lactation enhancer powder..... Today when I pumped it's around 50ml on one side.... I f I leak my dress soaks completely and drops come out of it if i wringle the soaked area.

A. Its. Just that you have good amount of feeding which is why it is leaking so why are you giving formula feeding when you have such good amount of breastfeeding so continue breastfeeding for as long as you can and also I would advise you that you should only formula feed the child when you are low on breastfeeding now and if you want to put a stop to it then you should consult a lactation specialist
