Q.
I have a 4 month old baby. My father-in-law is a diabetic patient and yesterday they removed 1 finger from his left leg fingers, and he is having cough, will my baby get infection if he will stay in my home.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 10 m old girl4 years agoA. hello I think you want to ask for pus coming from my finger yes it can cause infection in baby also but if you are avoiding any contact or touch then it will not affect baby

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Try not to have visitors who have infectious symptoms around the baby. For example, anyone with a fever, cold, cough, sore throat, vomiting or diarrhea probably should not visit. Remember, even a person who had infectious symptoms a few days before may still be contagious.
