Q.

i have a 2 month old baby. most of the time, he does not drink enough milk. so I try to pump milk and bottle feed him. but once the baby drinks, I cannot express milk through the pump. is this normal? what do I do? the baby again wakes up within an hour as he is hungry

A. If your baby's doctor thinks it's necessary, you may have to supplement your baby with additional feedings of either pumped breast milk or infant formula. You can also try to pump and separate your foremilk from your hindmilk. Hindmilk is higher in fat and calories, which can help your baby gain more weight.
