He might not be hungry enough by the time you offer him solids, on top of the milk he's already drinking. If he continues to refuse to eat, try offering solids less frequently, such as one less meal a day. By 8 months of age, most babies are ready from a developmental standpoint, and at this age, it's definitely time to get the ball rolling, but some babies (like my son) still refuse. One of the most common reasons why older babies still won't eat solids is because they don't like the texture.
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Your baby may appear to "go off" solids because they don't like the taste or texture of the food they're eating Or the food may simply be too hot or too cold. If you're offering your baby food that's new to them, they may refuse it at first.
