I have 8 days old C-section baby .can I use lactonic granules for increasing breast milk? it is safe ?

A. Hi and good afternoon please take them. only if prescribed by your Gynaecologist You have to drink enough water . Drink milk daily. Include all food groups in your diet. Take small frequent meals. Start eating dry fruits,fruits and green leafy vegetables. Take small frequent meals. Include spices like flaxseed ,jeera, fenugreek, saunf .Feed baby frequently that will increase milk production. Empty breast before latching to other breast. Take enough rest with stress free sleep.

A. more you feed your baby, more is the stimulation and more is the breast milk production. also relaxed mind , love for the baby, confidence while feeding help in oxytocin release and hence augment milk production. maintain good diet, hydration. babies tend to prefer easier way of feeding . avoid use of bottles to avoid nipple confusion. restrict formula slowly so that baby will try to suck more at breast.

A. Ya you can use. Try to have cooked garlic atleast 10 pods a day. Have spinach, jeera water, fennel, fenugreek, mothers horlicks is good for lactation. You can have bread with milk, rice with milk, dry fish, mutton, carrot, oats, almonds, have plenty of water, the more you allow your baby to suck the more milk you can provide, you can also have lactare tablets which is very effective.
