I have 15 days old baby. I got fungal infection and my doctor prescribed me Betadine Vaginal Pessaries. Is it fine to take as I am breastfeeding mother. just need second opinion

A. Betadine Vaginal Pessaries 10's is not recommended during breastfeeding. When a breastfeeding mother uses Betadine Vaginal Pessaries 10's, it may increase the iodine levels in the breastmilk causing hypothyroidism in breastfed infants.
