A. When your baby is sick, it's important to offer easily digestible and soothing foods. Some suitable Indian options include: 1. **Khichdi:** A simple rice and lentil porridge with mild spices like cumin can be gentle on the stomach. 2. **Mashed Rice and Dal:** Cook rice and dal (lentils) until they are soft, then mash them together. Add a pinch of turmeric and cumin for flavor. 3. **Vegetable Soup:** Prepare a mild vegetable soup using carrots, potatoes, and peas. Strain it to remove any solid pieces. 4. **Mashed Banana:** Ripe bananas are easy to digest and provide natural sweetness. 5. **Yogurt:** Plain yogurt can be soothing and provides probiotics that aid digestion. 6. **Ginger Tea:** A very mild ginger tea can help with nausea. Ensure it's not too hot and dilute it with water. 7. **Coconut Water:** Hydration is important. Coconut water is a good choice as it is gentle on the stomach. Always consult with a pediatrician if your baby is sick, especially if the illness is severe or persistent, to ensure you're providing the right care and nutrition.
