Q.

I had my 2 hour Glucose challenge test (75g) in 26 week of pregnancy. The reading was 153mg/dl. I was considered in the pre diabetic range of gestational diabetes. I did not have diabetes before pregnancy. The doctor did not put me on medication and did not ask me to check sugar at home and I was asked to control my diet. I am currently in my week 33. I used my mom’s glucometer to check my pre and post meal sugar. Before lunch 103mg/dl. After lunch 175mg/dl. Is it ok not to be on medication. I will be consulting my doctor in my next visit as well.
