Q.

I doubt my baby has tongue tie. He is not able to open mouth wide enough for feeding. Although when yawing he opens it wide. His birth weight was 4.2 and yesterday he was 5.3 kgs. He is 1 month 13 days. How can I be sure that he has tongue tie or not?

A. Without an assessment you cannot figure out whether it is a tongue tie or not so if you want you can get it examined with your doctor if your child is not opening the mouth usually but yawning properly then I don’t think so it’s a problem but still you should just take a check with your doctor for better clarity
