I bought honeytus syrup for my child's cough it is manufactured in October 2023 & has expiry date of Oct 2026. Is it safe or will it loose it's efficacy? should I exchange it with latest date syrup? answers only by Doctor appreciated please

So you have already opened the bottle then of course it is going to lose that strength that the medicine has in the beginning of the time but if you have it available you can give it there is no problem but the doctor say that medicine should be used within one month of opening them otherwise slowly they lose onto their power
