Q.
I bought a MEE MEE brand's sleeping bag, and was planning to wash it before using it. Kindly let me know if there is any specific instructions to follow or is the bag washable or not.

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. check if it's washable. it's better if you swaddle . it provides baby warm. cozy environment just like mother's womb. also it helps in good sleep. baby feels secure too , it helps in minimising startle response of baby especially in sleep

A. Yea you can wash it..but dont use normal detergent use baby washing liquid and dont forget dettol..

First of all it is always a good idea to wash all the clothes, bedding, blanket etc which is going to have a direct contact with your new born's body. As per sleeping bag is concerned you can definitely wash it. Just use a mild soap and wash it in a light wash mode. Sun dry it thoroughly and pack it safely until she arrives. And plz check if there is any instructions mentioned in the pack of Mee Mee bag. One more thing, any new clothes should not be given to baby to wear after she is born. Wash them, dry them but no harsh detergent, no chemicals, no bleach at all and not much fragrance also.
