A. Milk. One-year-olds no longer need formula, and can now switch to whole milk. Some toddlers never drink milk; if that's the case with your child, please don't force it. Toddlers need the nutrients in milk — calcium and protein — but these nutrients are also available from other sources. You should know that the American Academy of Pediatrics still recommends a combination of solid foods and breastmilk or formula for children under 12 months. Only after 1 year do they suggest introducing whole cow's milk.As your baby eats more solid foods, she will begin to drink less formula/ 3.25% milk. By 12 months of age, your baby needs 16 ounces (500 mL) of 3.25% milk per day. Infant formula isn't needed for most healthy babies after 12 months. Offer 2–3 cups (500 mL–750 mL) of 3.25% milk each day as part of meals and snacks.soft-cooked vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower, courgette, parsnip and sweet potato. carrot or cucumber sticks and avocado. fresh fruits, such as apple (soft-cooked if needed), banana or soft, ripe peeled pear or peach. toast, pitta or chapatti fingers.
