Q.
I am the father of my 5 and a half month young son. my wife is breastfeeding him exclusively. we are planning to take covid vaccination. is it advisable for the mother to take covid vaccine? because I heard we may get fever for one or two days after vaccinating and we need to take paracetamol also. is it advisable

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician4 years agoA. hello parent your kids 5 months old as per the Indian guidelines currently, lactating and pregnant women are contraindications for covid vaccine nation ,it is yet to be cleared in the current situation where the cases are rising.

Good evening
It is still not known that this vaccination is safe for the breast feeding mothers or not. So avoid taking for now. Also consult with your doctor for the same.
