Q.

I am not having enough brest milk to fed my one month old baby... can I fed her with cow milk(Desi cow)

A. hi ..breast milk usually works on the principle of demand and supply. So most breastfeeding moms need to realise that in case they are experiencing low milk supply, in the beginning, they will start to produce more as soon as the baby begins to breastfeed. The more your baby feeds, the more milk your body will produce. Make sure that the baby’s feeding position is comfortable along with the mother’s feeding posture. The baby should have a mouthful of breast. Cow’s milk is not advisable till your baby turns at least 10 to 12 months old. The main reson for this is – your infant’s digestive system finds it difficult to break down cow’s milk. Also, cow’s milk is less nutritious as compared to breast milk.
