A. second trimester is the safest period to get any kind of dental treatment done but inform your dentist about your pregnancy so that he or she can take the X-rays accordingly and also so if possible you can save the tooth

A. ma'am, thank you for your response. the dentist here in Srinagar performed root canal before my pregnancy was detected and couldn't complete it even after 4-5 visits. after my 3 months, he inserted a gause and didn't do anything. just last week he tried to complete it. i had wymox for 3 days which was told it was safe. he removed it as I had acute pain. but he did permanent filling and I have horrible pain since yesterday. now the dentist is telling me tooth needs to be extracted after so many visits..I am in acute pain.

A. hello there ma'am please do not worry about it too much and it is better to evaluate once with your gynecologist as she knew the exact health condition of your pregnancy and if doctor allow then you can gi for it. take care
