I am having hypothyroidism and I am a feeding mother. Will this affect my one year old baby?

A. It won't affect your baby if you have your thyroid under control and taking appropriate medication. Thyroid needs regular examination once in six months followed by correct dosage of medication based on the test results. It cannot be cured in one go. It has to be brought under control periodically. Once the thyroid levels are under control still u may have to be under medication for a while until the doctor advices to stop using medicines. Even after stopping the medicines you should get your thyroid levels checked at regular intervals to make sure the levels are under control.
