Q.

I am dibaetic, 35 weeks pregnant. and on insulin. my doctor prescribed me GLYCOMET SR 500MG (metfromin). is it safe to use above tablet in 35weeks pegnancy? please reply

A. metformin tablet is safe in pregnancy but if ur sugar is not under control then dose of insulin should be increased and even different type of insulin can be added..so have second opinion from physician

A. some times post lunch 1hr readings showing 170-180, but 2hrs readings 120-140.. will it eefect the foetus? I am worried..trying my best with strict diet and walking..

A. hi, my suagr levels were increasing from a month. so metfirmin is addon to insulin to strictly control the readings. I have used metformin till 4th month of pregnancy. then stopped metformin. again prescribed now along with insulin. thank you for the response

A. hi..i was taking that Medicine till my delivery..it is absolutely safe..but i wonder if u r taking insulin then why to take tablet..anyway if ur doc has advised that then u should..anyway glycomet sr is absolutely safe to take..
