Q.

I am breastfeeding my baby through nipple shield. She doesn't latch without nipple shield. Also I feel pain in nipples while feeding.

A. Dear ma’am, may I know why you want to feed using nipple shield? Are you having flat nipples? Even in that case a shield is not required because baby needs to breast feed and not nipple feed but initially to get a grip yes baby needs little help to achieve a good latch. So I would strongly suggest you to get hands on help from a certified lactation consultant
