I am a mother of five month old child. From 1st March covid vaccine will be given to people more than 18 years. Can I take the vaccine? Will it be ok? Can there be no issue with my child as I breastfeed him?

A. Vaccination can be offered to breastfeeding women if they are part of a group prioritized for vaccination. WHO does not recommend discontinuation of breastfeeding after vaccination.
