I am 20weeks pregnant with twins, my cervix length was 3.3cm at 18 weeks so doctor advised to take progesterone tablet n injection till 8th month to avoid premature delivery, I want to know after taking this injection n tablet will the cervix size increase or as pregnancy progresses it will decrease.

A. progesterone injection is not to increase the size of cervix ,it is just helpful to protect the pregnancy well so if you are having twins it would be better to get opinion with your doctor to have cervical stitches to avoid pre mature delivery
