Vritika AroraMom of a 9 yr 6 m old boy6 years agoA. first of all do not scold the baby and do not say infront of everyone that your child sucks thumb or it will develop an inferiority complex in the baby. try to distract the baby with games or toys or other physical activities when she puts thumb in mouth. create a story of your own and tell the baby that it is bad exercise. reward the baby when she does not put hands in mouth. show animated video to the baby about thumb sucking. apply garlic juice or neem on the thumb.
