Q.
how to know that baby had constipation? my baby is one month old. she didn't poop for 3days, I give her formula and brest milk both. last time she poop like cream. can I give her water now

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician1 Year agoA. no need to give water. constipation is common in infants. better to consukt your doctor if your baby do not pass stool by 7 days, do tumy nassage , practice tummy time will help

Dr Shital JoshiMom of a 1 yr 4 m old girl8 months agoA. See clinically Stool 10 times in a day or once in a 10 days is normal for new born! Bcz Baby is just taking milk and if baby urinate regularly it's totally normal, second don't go on colour of stool it will change time to time,just you have to watch for bleeding in stool ! that's red flag rest everything is normal! you can follow me on instagram for more clinical queries related newborn

Ankita SrivastavaMom of 2 children8 months agoA. water only after 6 months... don't give formula milk... only breast milk.. drink lots of water yourself... till 6 months baby can poop 10 times a day or once in 10 days.. both are normal as per doctor...
