POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 9 yr old boy5 years agoA. Your internal stitches will start to dissolve within a couple of days after the birth. They do not need to be removed. If you have external staples, they are usually removed on day 3. If you would like to go home on day 2, your midwife can remove them during a home visit.
