how to know if baby is dumb..my baby some times make sounds with mouth..some times she didn't make any sounds but she is trying to say with opened mouth..why she is not make any sound when I am speaking her..but she is opening her mouth with smile..

Hello....When a child is born crying at that time is important is not only a sign of life but is necessary for the development of her voice. Weeping is the only tool for her to make communication with others. This signifies that the child is dumb and hence deaf.
After one month of her birth a child who is not deaf and dumb makes different voices of crying for different causes.  Her voices are different for asking milk or wetting of bed is there.

Cooing sounds

After three months a child who is not deaf and dumb starts cooing voices as of a pigeon. This voice depends upon the mental status of the child. This is first step towards speaking as this sound originates from the throat region.

Echo sounds

After four months a child who is not deaf and dumb develops improvement in her voice. She feels pleasure in having her voice originated from the throat and generating echo sounds.

Babbling sounds
