Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. urinary pattern in small children is totally different. they may pass more than 20 times per day urine also and sometimes they will pass urine again and again in only one hour.
the minimum requirement would be more than 7 times in 24 hours. if it is less give more breast feeding or milk and if it is more no need to worry if the child is not having any other complaint.
there is no problem if the urine frequency is normal and the child is not passing urine at night
count on per day basis only

Whether the baby is breastfed or bottle-fed, as long as she passes urine at least 7-8 times in a 24-hour period, the baby is considered to be getting enough fluids (or enough milk, in the case of exclusively breastfed babies). If the baby starts passing urine fewer times, then you should consult your doctor for advice.
