how safe is using nasal aspirators in newborns??

A. it can be used in nose block avoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.

A. Hello Mommy!! Nasal aspirators are very helpful to decongest the baby's nose. It is practically safe if used with utmost care. Use saline nasal drops before using aspirators to loosen the mucous. Do not put the aspirator deep inside as it may harm the delicate nose is baby. Cleaning is very important as it may cross contaminate if you are using it for other kiddo even
