Q.

how much this medicine can be given to three months old baby. weight 5.3kg fever 100.6 She has taken two and half months vaccine today.

A. give 4ml for fever and pain. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. Five drops of the medicine can be given to the child because for initial six months a child is meant to have five drops of any medicine that you are giving and you can repeat it again after six hours of the temperature rises which is bound to rise for at least a day or two after you get the vaccination done
