Q.

How much calories should a 8 month old intake? Birth weight -2.5kg , now - 5.5kg Birth height - 48cm , now - 65 cm I feed below 1) Early morning breastmilk 2) Morning raagi porridge 6 tablespoon 3) Mid morning - breastmilk 4) Afternoon 8 tablespoon of below Porridge made of below rice(3cup), moong dal and green gram (1.5cup), Badam(1cup), pista and cashew (20nos) - pumpkim 1pie - baby carrot - half apple 5) Evening - half Kerala banana and half apple 6) Night breastmilk Breastmilk on demand during day and night I just want to rule out if slow weight gain is due to less calorie in take, before checking with doctor in person. I m not sure about how much ml of breastmilk he takes

A. The diet which you are giving is fine just add desi ghee in meals and add more fruits pie variety of fruits and also upma poha idli chapati mashed in dal or khichdi daliya can ge given
