It simply works on demand and supply principle so ensure to feed the baby on their hunger cues and let the baby decide the nursing duration and frequency. It mostly takes about two hours to 3 -4 hours depending because that is why we say that you should be reading from one side one time and second time from the other breast as this way in that much time to 1st rest is going to get enough time to prepare a feed
