How long is it safe to store the milk pumped via breast pumps?

A. It is best to use the expressed milk fresh. But if you need to store it, place it in refrigerator immediately after collecting it, preferably in plastic container. It can be refrigerated under proper hygienic conditions for up to 24 hours. At the time of feeding just warm the bottle containing breast milk gradually by placing it in a bowl of hot water before feeding it your baby.

A. Breast milk can be stored for about 6 hours without requiring refrigeration however if you are keeping it in the fridge you can store upto 12 hours and warm it up before using it
