Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two guyyears of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three yeards of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

ideally, at age of 2 years, child should able to speak some words like baba, Mama, Dada and can form small sentences like give me, take it etc
but if your child is not able to speak single word,not even babble then you should consult your pediatrician or speech therapist for once
