hlo doctor.... plz suggest me effective cough syrup for 18 months old baby....he is having cough and runny nose on morning times...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallerggic medicine given.
steam inhalation cran be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

For children 1 year and older: Use honey, 2 to 5 mL, as needed. The honey thins the mucus and loosens the cough. (If you do not have honey, you can use corn syrup). Recent research has shown that honey is better than store-bought cough syrups at reducing how often coughing happens and how bad coughing is at night.
