Q.

hlo doctor my daughter is 5 year and 2month old .She is suffering from cough and cold from 1 week.But now I noticed that she has a vaginal discharge . Doctor gave her some medicine for cold and cough 4 days ago.Is it cough leaking from her vagina or something worse? plz tell me.

A. The vagina is designed to be moist, so discharge at every age is normal. Typically you will see only small amounts in infants and young children, and it is usually clear, white, or slightly yellow and odorless. Persistent vaginal discharge in children can be a sign of infection.
