hii my 4 months old child is having stomach infection his stool test reports 30-40 pus cells mucus and blood occult I am very worried dr gave cefakind ,nutrolin b and zinc dry powder but still he is having 3-4 watery poops in a day I am worried what can I do plz suggest me

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr old boy4 years agoA. Hello good afternoon !! Check your diet if baby is on breastfeed,then avoid spicy, heavy heat producing foods which cause loose motions.
Have more water and fluids (buttermilk, barley, Sabudana) every alternate day to reduce heat as it summer and syrups also cause bit heat so baby pooping watery.
Baby generally poop 7-8 times a day but pooping loose watery,foul smell, frothy, blood stains must be concerned, Once consult Paeditrician if baby having continuous loose motions more than 4-5 times daily.
