A. that medicine is usually given for cold as well as running nose but simple cold and simple mucus should decrease with plain nasal saline drops. it is important that if the child is not having much cold this medicine is not advised before 6 months of age.

A. they are mucus which is present in the throat of the child and is very less likely that is present in the chest of the child and you are able to hear the respiratory sounds so just prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly and breast breastfeeding frequently and this will help in decreasing the mucus
