Q.

Hi, We shifted our baby to Similac IQ+ stage 2 after he turned 6 months. Soon after that he started having diarrhoea. We have now shifted to Similac Isomil and he is much better. One of the days, we had to give him IQ+ as we were not able to get ismomil. His motion again became watery in about 3-4 feeds. Could this mean that my baby is lactose intolerant? IQ+ stage 1 has lower amounts of lactose and he was fine with it. Are there any other brands of stage 2 formula ( with lesser lactose) that could work ?

A. you should not do long lactose-free formulation if there is lactose intolerance then only you have to use it since lactose free formulations are soya preparations not advisable for long time
