Q.

hi sir , my daughter have constipation problem since from her 6 th month. she passed very little byte clay like stool with lot of difficulty and strain more... We consult and gave laxopeg syrup also but it didn't work ... still have this problem.. kindly give me a solution for this .. thank you.

A. at six mnths. It is absolutely normal for the baby to not pass motion daily even for up to one week if the baby is on breastfeeding and it's not unhealthy. Check for pee counts 6-8/day is fine . if it is above one week or baby s in trouble then you can apply glycerine suppository for easy motion of the baby . no syrup for medicine is given orally till 2 years of age for constipation by yourself as it's not safe .

A. constipation issue strain as passing motion difficulty keep baby well hydrated increase the water intake add fibre rich foods as papaya pear sapota apple give curd daily raisin water
