A. You can give fruit and vegetable purees, homemade cereals. Egg whites should not be fed to the baby before one year as it can cause allergy. However egg yolk can be given around eight months if there is no egg allergy in your family history. The best choice will be to wait until one year of age and then feed eggs for the baby. Curd can be given after the baby is eight months old. Make sure the curd is not refrigerated and freshly homemade. Some non veg items like certain type of fish or egg yolk can be given around ten months of age. But baby's tummy will be delicate and might find it difficult to digest heavy food like non vegetarian. So it's better to start with all the non vegetarian stuff after the baby completes one year of age. Start them one by one following the two day gap rule between introducing new foods.
