Q.
Hi Sir, My baby head is not in round shape as expected π..can you please give some advise ?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. due to pressure on one side of the head during sleeping there is flatness / abnormal shape on that side of the head.
no treatment is required for flat head / bumpy head and you will see that by one year to two years of age the flat head will go away as soon as the child begins to sit and later walk.
pillows will not help much in this case so do not worry.
the bones in the skull are elastic so to give space to the growing brain it takes differenxt shape and when the growth of the brain occurs properly then gradually they will take a normal shape.
at your level you can give different sleeping position to the child. also give tummy time more often which will also decrease the pressure on the back of the head.

Look sometimes what happens his parents make their child sleep in one position could be back right or left whatever is the situation in your case and because of that the head become little Flat from that particular particular side so over the period period the doctor say as the age is going to progress the head is going to retain its shape because the sky is going to become big and will retain its shape and need not worry about it but you should just not make your child sleep on that side from where the head is Flat or D shaped
